With injuries and players going into the Transfer Portal, Coach Brown and his staff are hurting for players. Trey did get in the game for 1 play in the 1st half and with 5 minutes left in the forth quarter. Lowe connected on 2 passes for 2 yards and he Carried the ball 3 times for 13 yards, and one of these runs was for 12 yards.
Kendall completed 15 of 31 passes for a completion percentage of 48%, and 182 yards and 2 touchdowns. Again Kendall was telegraphing his throws. Kendall had 4 passes dropped in the 1st half, but many of his passes were way off target. He did a better job running than I had seen all season.
Right now WVU is short on talent and experience. The good news is WVU will have more depth, talent and skilled players going into the 2020 season. The other good news is that Kendall most like won’t be the starting QB in 2020. What I’d like to see is Trey Lowe III get more playing time in preparation for 2020. The other good news will be come when the 2020 recruits start showing up. There will be new O-Iinemen coming in and hopefully this will add much needed talent and depth to WVU.
WVU needs 6’4” or taller receivers and Tight-Ends that are 6’8”, 260 lb or better. These guys need to be able to catch and run, and block.
And WVU needs talent and depth at QB. Right now WVU has talent that isn’t on the field, and little to no depth.
